I worked with a woman who claimed she had a masters degree in some very technical field and because she had so much experience, all she had to do to get her degree was write a paper and submit it on the Internet. Yeah. I'm sure it was a very valid degree. And I'm SURE if she really had such a degree she'd be working as a clerk in the advertising department instead of in that field.
My coworkers and I used to joke that we were really a brain surgeon, a rocket scientist and a nuclear physicist and just worked in the department for fun - just like her.
