If The Wire is supposed to unfold like a novel, I no longer know who the protagonist is. Possibly Bubs, but I don't view him as a central character. McNulty is clearly not the hero.

Kima is the moral center.

I dunno, I just don't find any redeeming qualities in the main characters anymore, not with the blatant lack of ethics with the "serial killer" story.
