I think that the war on drugs starts in the home. Maybe it sounds cheesy but parents can have such an impact on what a kid will do or want he/she won't do later in life. These days with both parents working or 1 parent households some guidance in these kids lives are missing. Now, that is not to say that if you have the Cleaver family setting you are not going to do drugs but maybe less likely. I had such strong support from my mother growing up and she instilled in me that drugs are a no no and to this day I have never done any illegal drugs. My mother was very involved in the 80's in the Just Say No campaign that RReagan started and that left an impression on me.
