The LXA fez was always sort of a joke around our HQ folks. Nobody had EVER seen one, save for a single photo taken around 1919 at a meeting in Boston (we think it was Boston!). It was one of those 'Holy Grail' sort of artifacts. There was both amazement and surprise when one was found, obtained ($500 on EBay) and then immediately given to HQ for display!
Now I'm looking for the official LXA hatband! Yes, we had one back in 1918, but again, it is one of those long lost things that nobody has ever seen - at least not for 70 or 80 years!
