Right after I crossed, I was at the airport to fly home for Christmas. I was checking my luggage, and being the neo that I am, I travel in paraphernalia. I had on an "AKA 1908" hat (I've worn the hell out of it too!
) The lady checking me in then hands me my ticket, and cheerfully says:
"OK, **(my name)**, ALSO KNOWN AS nineteen oh-eight, here's your ticket, Gate B1."
I took it and walked away kind of confused. It wasn't until I was waiting at the gate that I started chuckling, "ooohhh I get it."
I've heard of people making these mistakes:
AKA= also known as
DST= daylight savings time
PBS= public broadcasting system
