Sorry to crash, but I thought you guys would like to hear about this.
My organization -- ARRL, the national association for Amateur Radio -- gives a Professional Media Award each year. This year, the award went to Alyssa Ivanson, an AOII from Ball State.
I'm the ARRL News Editor. When I saw she was an AOII, I just had to put that in the story. I know AOII is oficially a fraternity, but our readership does not understand the distinction, so I said she was a member of Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority.
