Okay, I so know where you are coming from and this is my advice. ANYTIME you meet someone that you can possibly get their e-mail addres, GET IT!! I met some of my closest friends in ATL because they were friends of friends and I made a point of getting their e-mail addresses after we had hung out and e-mailing and saying how much fun I had. I figure, I put myself out there with guys at times, why not do it with girls I want as friends.
And I am all in favor of getting involved with your alumni group. I LOVE mine!!!
