Dear ladies,

Though I am not a Christian, I believe very strongly in the power of prayer and in God's ability to work miracles. My friend, who is a devout Christian who attempts to live her life as an open, loving Christian and make a difference in this world by doing God's work found out over the summer that she had been infected with hepatitis. She found this out in the course of getting immunized to go to India to do missionary work, and counted it as a blessing from God, that she had caught it.

The good news is, she doesn't have liver scarring or cancer. The bad news is the cancer could develop at any time because her viral load is so high (so high the doctor says he's never seen one so high before. It's in the trillions). The good news is, there is treatment. The bad news is that treatment costs $5000 a year, money that she doesn't have. But she's not letting it get to her. She's placing her faith that God will find a way for her to find the money, and in the meantime, she's going to continue living and doing His work. She amazes me, and the world needs more people who are willing to be as generous as she is with her time, her heart, and her prayers.

If you could all please pray for Charlene, that she finds the money, that her viral load comes down, and that she does not develop cancer (because once that happens, that's it. No transplant or chemo will save her), I would deeply appreciate it.
