Many of the houses are physically large. Ours held 56 (out of 100 in the chapter), so when you back out pledges, those traveling abroad and locals, it basically means everyone has to live in the house. This has been a big problem for several chapters

Our house (I forget who has it now - AXD?) slept 55, and only 5 women were willing to live in it, despite the numbers. At the time, I said that it showed more troubles with the house mother/housing corp than the chapter, but since I'm not there, I'm not really "in the know". Besides, my old chapter inherited a lot of their furnishings - a
real coup for them!
