We can not know his intent until there is further investigation--if it is ever known. There is no suicide note or suicide conservation that he had with someone that has been uncovered yet.

The View's discussion was interesting. Whoopi was talking about her dark days. Every human being has dark days. Magnify that by the loneliness and whatever else of being a celebrity who is going through "regular people stuff" mixed with "celeb stuff." This doesn't mean that every sad and lonely nonceleb and celeb will consider and attempt suicide. Even if they do, a "successful suicide" is often a cry for help that accidentally resulted in death. Just things to consider because in suicidology we use a typology and find that there's nothing new under the sun, unfortunately.
