Hey everyone! Just got done with today's events. I was asked back to
Pluto,
Jupiter,
Neptune,
Saturn, and one of the one's I threw off my list,
Earth.
I wasn't upset that I wasn't asked back to Mercury since I knew I didn't click. I was a bit upset about not being asked back to Mars, they were really cute... but it's for the best, after all I want to find the sorority thats RIGHT for me.
So today was philanthropy day, we visited each sorority for 40 minutes.
The first one I went to was
Jupiter. I met new girls, some girls I met yesterday. Some that I don't even remember meeting called out my name across the room and waved. I felt good here and enjoyed the conversations with the girls. One girl I talked to, I found that it was kind of hard to continue a conversation. But we did find out that we went to the same high school together, and didn't even know it. I did like their philanthropy and the craft was fun. I do like this one.
The next one I went to was
Earth, even though I took them off my list (as some others I know did), I thought I'd give them another shot to see if my mind changed at all. We walked in, there were colored dots all around the floor (to resemble a Candy Land game set up). We talked for about five minutes, I met with a different girl this time (there aren't many girls in this particular sorority). Again, the conversation felt forced and a sister came into the conversation, didn't say a word to me, and just stared and listened. I introduced myself finally to her, I think she was a bit shy, but again everyone can be at times. We went into another room and decorated paper gingerbread men, then went back to the main room and played Candy Land. (We were the markers that stepped on the colored circles and answered questions and they talked about their philanthropy, which I'm not too fond of. There were alot of awkward silences which I found was weird since there were alot of girls in the room. This one isn't for me.
Next, I went to
Pluto. Some of the sisters remembered my name without even looking at the name tag. I felt like I didn't click as much with them as I did today. But we did rotate alot more than yesterday. We went into a room and made cards and as we were making them, we played a game where you tell two truths and one lie about yourself and they all have to guess which is the lie. It was fun. Then we went into another room and they showed us a slide show about what they do for fun and what they do for their philanthropy. I did like it and they seemed like they had alot of fun.
Next I went to
Saturn. I wasn't too fond of their philanthropy. I met new girls here that I didn't click with as much as yesterday. We didn't rotate... the craft was awkward, many silences between all the girls in the room. There were alot of "So...." and "Uhhh...". I found it funny and laughed and tried to make conversation with the new group, but it didn't really go anywhere, lol. I don't think they are for me... so far.
Lastly, I went to
Neptune. I met even more sisters that I had never met before. I loved them all, they were all very nice and funny. I could crack jokes and speak out and enjoyed myself. We talked and mingled, then went into a room and did the craft. It wasn't the most fun craft, but we had fun conversations and they talked about their philanthropy that I really am into and already do things in my own time for. Then we went into another room and played "Never Have I Ever", I had a really great time with that, lost the game and had to tell an embarrassing story. Then we went into the main room and watched a slide show of the sisters and talked, laughed. I really do love this sorority.
So I went back and ranked. We can go back to four tomorrow:
Neptune
Jupiter
Pluto
Saturn
Earth
So tomorrow is Skit/Video day and we visit the ones we were asked back to for 30 minutes. Wish me luck!
