They were founded in Indianapolis in 1901. I know the KKK was founded shortly after the Civil War, but I don't know when it reached up here. I know it was HUGE in Indiana during the 20's. The grand dragon actually lived south of Indy, and they took credit for getting MANY officials elected into office. Anyway, I think it would be safe to assume when they founded the sorority, they didn't know about the klan.
