I think that mission was accomplished before you began typing.
At the end of the day, I'd rather those who are "nappy" in the African diaspora (because not everyone is) to own this and not be ashamed of it. If they called it "thick and beeded scalped," the point is all the same. You can't stop people (including OTHERS) from thinking or saying whatever they choose, you can focus on how to address it when it begins to pose a problem. That's why there's a difference between "racism defined as hurt feelings" and "racism defined as negatively influencing life chances."
