Hi everyone, I've been lurking on and off for a few months thanks to a chapter sister of mine who is now apparently completely addicted to this site (yes, you, NA
). And Lynn has mentioned it on the CA list (hi Lynn!). I have always been staunchly "against" online communities like myspace, facebook, etc., and have refused to join any so when I heard about this, it really held no interest for me. But "nittanyalum" kept sending me links she thought were funny or would interest me and I admit I find myself clicking in to read when I get a chance. I even asked her to post some things for me (because I still had no intention to "join", of course), but then I pushed her too far and she drew a line, join and post yourself or stop trying to "participate" through her!

So, here I am. I looked through this thread and don't see any other Alpha Mus, which unfortunately, I can't say surprises me. But I do see some "names" I think I recognize.
I'm Marybeth, I'm an Alpha Mu from Penn State, I pledged in fall 1986, I live in SE MI now and am an advisor at the Alpha Beta chapter at the University of Michigan.
I will probably still mainly "lurk" because I barely have time to keep up with all my email unlike my dear chapter sister who seems to be on here ALL the time
, but I will try to post when I can keep up on a topic... So hi to all, I'll "see" you around the boards!
