My husband and I have taken up a new tradition to take single friends of ours out for Valentine's Day. I remember disliking Valentine's Day
immensely when I was single although my parents always got me something nice (a box of chocolate, a mug, a stuffed animal) to let me know that they were thinking about me.
So for the last several years, we've made a point to celebrate with others. Last year we took our neighbor and her daughter out. We bought them cute little gifts and went out for Italian food. It was brilliant and we all had a good time.
