This thread will list many of the informational sessions held by Area Alumnae Panhellenics.
These sessions are fairly common in Texas and in some metropolitan areas in the South and Southeast. They're held in some other parts of the U.S., too -- for instance, Denver, the Seattle area, and other places, I'll bet.
If a session is being held in your area, it's probably a great idea to go if you possibly can. Whether or not you like the idea of recommendations or attending a meeting,
this IS the way things are done in some areas of the U.S., and you can learn a lot, get tips (and maybe help) on getting recommendations, and make helpful contacts -- maybe even a new friend or two!
