Wow-greek housing at UTSA, things really have changed on that campus.

Thanks for the email and the update on what you are doing. My name is Jon Williamson and the reason I am on your email list is that I installed your chapter. I was initiated at the University of Maryland and was asked by HQ to install your chapter in the early 80’s because of my work for the fraternity.
At the present time I am the Executive Vice President of the North-American Interfraternity Conference (NIC) with headquarters in Indianapolis, Indiana. We oversee the activities of all 66 national/international fraternities in the United States and Canada.
I really like your enthusiasm and your goals. Scholarship is what it is all about and that will assist the chapter with recruitment.
I would like to be kept informed of what your alumni association is doing and perhaps I will be able to assist you financially as well as with guidance.
ZAX,
Jon
Cool huh? So in the space of 6 weeks we get a visit from our fraternity’s national president, find out that the executive vice president of the NIC is an old friend of the chapter and lends us his support, then we find out the university has committed to building Greek housing by 2004. Rowdy. Things are def. Good around here. Such a far change from a few years ago when we lost our house, had 12 members and were $12,000 in debt.
I just had to share.
