Hopefully when you get her materials, you will also get a manual. It is slightly helpful. The best thing that you can do is be organized. Make a form for agendas and have an agenda for each meeting. Keep track of everything that National gives you. There is also a manual on E-board. Ask your advisor to see the big book that has everyone's job descriptions. That will help too. You have seen her disorganization, so use it. Don't do what she has done.
I personally came into a chapter that had been disolved until this past Fall. I had no training, and no one to train me. Just take the initiative and work hard. I put in a lot of time. Be prepaired... you take the blame for everything. If you have a good relationship with you advisor and DCP, you should be fine.
