When I was in school, it was typical to trade sweatshirts with what ever fraternity you was your partner in Greek Week or Homecoming. It was no big deal because every chapter on our campus did it, and there were over 3000 in the Greek system at the time.

I also can't tell you the number Phi Tau shirts I got off one of my best friends who kept leaving them in my car.
There's a BIG difference between trading letters for 2 weeks (we did this during Derby Daze for whoever our coaches were that year) and doing the walk of shame looking like crap in a letter shirt that you obviously took from the guy you boffed the night before. Not cool. As for the "brother" excuse - I would think her brother would know if the chapter at her school wasn't down with nonmembers wearing letters.
