when i joined adpi, DTD was just recolonizing, so there were now 4 fraternities back on campus (ax rho closed before my time, then delts and fijis in the nineties), phi delts recolonized right after i became an alumna of the chapter.

all four sororities have been at or very close to total for the past four years, and they've had around thirty girls either drop out of recruitment/go unpledged for the past few years, so i think panhel and the administration believe that adding a chapter would both add energy to the existing chapters, and be a good addition to the campus. i'm interested to see how it goes for everyone, i think that it could be a really great thing for sorority life at allegheny.

ta kala, i heard that everyone did a great job with their presentation and everyone was very impressed, but a friend of mine specifically told me that she enjoyed the women of kd quite a bit and thought that you were great representatives of your organization. as i said, i know that all three orgs were greatly represented, but she happened to really connect with you. so here's to you and all three organizations that presented! cheers!
Thanks for the status report! When we colonized ADPi, we had something like 90 amazing women show up for Pref. I was simply amazed by the quality of women there - rich, richer, richest! I ended up seriously rushing four, and when we got to membership selection, I remember saying that, of the four I had rushed, three of them were capable of paying the dues for the entire chapter! And all beautiful AND nice!!! I still keep up with one of them, as we have a mutual friend. My roomie, whom I mentioned, grew up in Meadville - her father was then Chairman of the Communications Department at Allegheny - but unfortunately, isn't in the official Colonization picture. She was 8 months pregnant at the time, and was in the little advisor's room when they took it. I'm just totally psyched to have correctly remembered which other sororities were there at the time!

Assisting a colonization has to be one of THE most fulfilling aspects of being an alumna!
