Unfortunately, the school that I am attending does not have ANY NPHC sororities or fraternities. I know several African American students that have started at my university, and transferred for this very reason. Believe me this has crossed my mind on several occasions. The main reason that I have stayed is the thought that, "This is the reason that we don't have these sororities and fraternities here today. People kept taking the 'easy' way out."

I feel like I have tried EVERYTHING I can think of. Seriously. I was just wondering if there is anyone else on GC that can relate to my experience or that can offer advice.

Thanks,

You came to college to get an education, not to join a sorority. Focus on your education and maybe after college with degree in hand, you can try graduate chapter membership of the organization you are a prospective candidate for. So in the meanwhile, keep that GPA high and serve in the community.

Best wishes.
