Jaguar is the fire! I would say that she IS on the same level as Jill, but she keeps it gutter (not gulley, I don't even know what that means, lol). Whereas Jill's LYRICS portray her emotion (at least on studio tracks), Jaguar's VOICE is her emotion. Not that Jag's lyrics are weak by any means, they are just more to the point and less esoteric. Her CD has deep, thought-provoking songs like "Self Love" (9 minutes strong!), then she has those songs that make you say "TRUE!!!" like "What If?" (the song you hear a little bit on the commercial)
I LOVE this CD!
Okay, had to edit because I forgot to mention some new stuff...Musiq has a single out now. It is something with "Crazy" in the title, I can't remember exactly...release date is late March.
Y'all check for Cherokee...her song is called "I Swear." The video is hot (for AKA2d '91, lol), and so is the song. She isn't new, but I think this is the right time for her to blow up, with neo-soul takin' over and stuff. Shouldn't be long before her CD drops, I give it a couple more weeks.
Sigh... forgot again to add to watch for Glenn Lewis ("Don't You Forget It"). He is blowing up as we speak and his CD will drop soon too. I am catching him in concert on Saturday with Alicia Keys, so I will come back and let y'all know how the rest of his songs sound.
