The ex would get me flowers all the time for no reason. My sister and I were having a rough day once and we wound up going out to eat with his mom and sister (totally not planned for the record) and he drove up to pick us all up and the doors were all locked and he popped the trunk. I was the only one to figure it out. There were a dozen roses for me, a whole thing of flowers for his mom, and two single roses for his sister and mine. It was one of the sweetest things he, and helped make a bad bad a little better.

He used to work nights, and there were some mornings that he would come in and lay flowers down on me so I woke up smelling them. And he always remembered that I hated red roses, and if that's all they had he would feel bad he couldn't get them in another color for me
