Our Bid Day was on September 10th (also my mom's birthday), and as awful as it sounds I was not deeply affected by the events of Sept. 11th because I was too excited about being in college and being in ZTA. I had so many other things going on in my life at that time, so it never "hit" me. I know that sounds mean, but no matter how tragic it was, I didn't want to let that ruin my first semester at college.
