About 6 (?) years ago, a girl went through Rush in the South, posted her recruitment story, and received a bid. When it came time for Pref, it was clear that she favored XYZ over ABC. I can't recall the exact things she said about ABC (the posts have since been edited/deleted), so I couldn't tell you if they were unflattering or not. I do remember, however, that she did say "I can see myself more as an XYZ and I didn't not get that from ABC." At this point I can't remember if she used code names or the actual sorority names in her rush thread. It was a long time ago.

Well, she got a bid from ABC and sometime during her NM period, her new ABC sisters found out who she was on GC and made her NM period a very unpleasant one. She ended up dropping out and was not initiated. I don't think she ever joined an NPC. If she did, she clearly didn't provide us with an update. Who can blame her?

So yes, it can be risky posting a rush story, but if a PNM's honest without being disrespectful and people hold this honesty against her, then you wouldn't want them as your sisters anyway.

FWIW, and I don't mean to steal the OP's thunder in any way, she does have a happy ending, and that was evident yesterday when she posted in her new sorority's forum.
