Lu Parker, an anchor with KTLA is an ADPi and was also Miss USA 1994. Lu was an anchor with our local WB TV affiliate before moving to LA two years ago. The school where I was teaching was having a Career Day and I called Lu to see if she would be a participant. Lu came and gave a very inspirational speech to all the students and she talked to them about pursuing their dreams. She's also written a book ,Catching the Crown, which is about her pageant and life experiences. We all found her to be genuine and the students loved her! Lu's website is www. luparker.com.
