The way I ususally do it is to take notes in the margin and put down a few scores as the groups perform. It is usually pretty easy by the end of the night who has won.
Some groups step, some groups (mostly the guys) just stand there with their shirts off grinding the floor and each other while yelling offensive remarks about the other frats. And, I'm like 'dude, you're grinding the floor and each other and trying to call another frat gay????'

I'm not a fan of step shows but I love shows where you get points deducted for trying to sex the crowd. If you aren't going to step, do not enter into a step show competition. Save your sex and your offensive remarks about other frats for your bedtime routine.
I went to a show last week where there were HIGH SCHOOL students on stage gyrating to J.Holiday's "Bed." The crowd was yelling but my Sorors and I sat there like "

." I even BOOO'd as they left the stage. Their mentors need to be flogged. The mc of the show said "yeah...I heard you all screaming...you forgot these are children...."
