I'm not sure if that really has anything to do with karma. Generally, people who are unhappy in their own lives wish unhappy things upon other people... 'cause you know, if they can't be happy, NO ONE CAN!
If they were wrapped up in happiness, they wouldn't really dwell on the fact that they think someone else is incompatible or won't "make it"... it might be a passing thought if they really believed it, but it wouldn't be something that comes up time & time again...
But I'm really glad you & your hubby are still goin' strong!
