It would have been more courageous if she had walked away in the first place rather than knowingly breaking the rules and complain when SHE couldn't take it anymore.
Look, I am not an advocate for breaking the rules AT ALL. But aspirants of NPHC organizations are very well aware of what the MIP rules are. As secretive as people believe we are, each organization lays out the rules on the websites.
It sounds to me like she went as far as she could, quit, and complained rather than being strong enough to say NO in the beginning.
