Thumbs up Feels like Home

I tech. went through recruitment as a Junior (I had a lot of credits before I got deployed to Iraq with the Army)....I came back and I was older than some of the girls (21) and I had enough credits to be a junior even though I was tech. a sophmore. I graduated from one of the largest Greek schools in the U.S. (Penn State)...Some orgs. didn't like the fact I was in the military (let's face it-people assume you must be butchy-even though I'm not even 5 feet tall)....But, my org. thought it was neat! They thought I had something to offer. At such a big school-I would say it is somewhat tough to determine who is the TOP-TOP org. and who is the WORST but, to be honest-I didn't care! I went through with an open mind and I loved every org. I met. Everyone was nice and I can't say one nasty thing about ANY NPC org. because I think they all have something to offer. I didn't care if I went to the top or bottom org. as long as they treated me good. Needless to say, my top three choices were orgs. on our campus that weren't the top but, I thought they were great because they made me feel at home and I was more concerned about what their philanthropy was more so than who they did Greek Week, Homecoming, etc. wtih. I received a bid from Phi Mu and I couldn't be happier! I ended up staying for three years instead of only two (because I double majored) and I loved it! Every NPC has something great to offer so keep an open mind!I wish you the best of luck and don't get discouraged because you end up where you belong! Good Luck!
