Congratulations! I went to Cancun yearsssssssss ago (on a junior high choir trip. Yeah I know, CRAZY
.) Chichen-itza was definitely a highlight that we still reminisce on. Climb the ruins/pyramids and take a great "newlywed" photo. I believe we walked through the Mayan ruins as well. There was this cultural dance show we went to...I'll ask around for the name.
