The internet is finally working again! YAY! It's weird going back and reading some of these notes, especially since things are way different than I thought. But y'all are definitely right- things work out the way they are supposed to, not necessarily the way you expect it.
PHILANTHROPY ROUND
Peach- loved this house! It was so pretty and looked great! Awesome girls, almost home-y
Coconut- I wasn't sure about this. Very cramped for part, and probably didn't have to be. Awkward conversation, probably in my bottom three.
Banana Cream- wanted to get up and cheer and dance with the girls when they did their video. I loved the last girl I talked to and she definitely changed my mind. Their video was heartbreaking.
Pumpkin- Very energetic, could tell they adored their sorority. Not sure it's me though. Awesome presentation of philanthropy.
Apple- Loved the songs, and the philanthropy. Great girls, one was a little forced, but it was really hard to hear.
Lemon Meringue- Loved all my girls. Liked the philanthropy, kind of heart breaking video. Cute craft, very energetic. Homey, but not "omigosh!"
Key Lime- Only caught the first ten minutes because I had class. The conversation was really awkward though.
Cherry- I didn't get to go, but I put them in my top 6 so I could at least get to see them
Pecan- Sweet girls. Don't know if it was me though. Supposedly really hard to get into. I would like to go back though.
On my card I put my top 6 as Lemon Meringue, Banana Cream, Apple, Coconut, Cherry, and Peach. 7 was Pecan, 8- Pumpkin, and 9- Key Lime. I accidentally mixed up Coconut and Pumpkin. OOPS!
SKIT ROUND
On Friday, when I got my list, I only had three houses- Peach, Cherry and Key Lime. I was a little bummed, but really wanted to go back to Peach and was so excited I got asked back, and I was curious about Cherry since I didn't get to go for Philanthropy.
Peach was awesome- it was so pretty and energetic and my girl and I really clicked! Put it as number one for Pref.
Cherry was okay- it seemed kind of fake, but I almost wonder if it was just because I wasn't a freshman. Didn't feel it, so it wound up being number three at the end of the night.
Key Lime was so pretty! At first, I was bummed that I got an invite back, because I wasn't really that interested, but I'm so glad I got to go back. Their skit was amazing, and the girl I had this time was so sweet. She seemed so real and down to earth and you could tell she loved all of her sisters and loved this sorority. I put it as number two.
PREF ROUND
I waited all morning for the call to come in that I didn't get any invites back. When I got my list, it was only Key Lime. Once again, I was bummed, especially because I thought I really hit it off with my Peach girl. But oh well. I figured I would go through, and depending on how I felt at Pref for Key Lime, I would either sign or not. I loved it. I wanted to cry. It was so pretty, and the when the girls were talking they were tearing up, and it was amazing to see how much they loved each other and how glad they were to be in Key Lime. I recognized a lot of people, and the president recognized me from class and came up to me, I think at skit, and she was so excited to see me again. I know they all act excited to see the girls back again, but I could tell that she meant it. It made me feel so special. I had the same girl I had at skit, and was so glad, because I loved her so much.
BID DAY
It's almost eleven, and I haven't received a call telling me not to come yet, so I'm really excited! Once noon rolls around, I'll let y'all know which one Key Lime is, and if anyone wants the full list, I'll PM it.
Thank you so much to everyone who encouraged me to do this! I'm so happy, and I had no idea what everybody meant by you'll just know when you find it. I knew, and it felt amazing!
