I'm a member of a few of the Delta listserves and frankly, I've stopped checking the messages from those clubs because of the rudeness and hostility. The shameful behavior that I've seen hasn't come from sorors, but from girls (or women

) who claim to be soooo interested in Delta Sigma Theta, yet don't want to do any research outside of little chat circle things

. Things got so out of hand on there one time, that I sent an e-mail out to everyone in one club to remind sorors that we owe answers to NO ONE!!! I just wanted them to realize that they didn't have to continue to be disrespected for the sake of trying to be nice and helpful.
On top of all the bickering, the redundant questions that pass through those clubs is ridiculous. I mean, stuff like "I know what the GPA requirement is, but I am only a hop, skip and a jump away from having it, so should I still apply?" and "What do I do if the chapter at my school is suspended?" or "How do I approach a Delta to tell her that I'm interested?" Some girl even asked "How do I purchase a copy of In Search of Sisterhood without being noticed?" I just shook my head and said, WTF? Like I said, I got so tired of that shiznik that I had to let anything Delta related on college club go. I don't think that someone who asks a question that I deem stupid should be disrespected or get their head bitten off, so I just choose not to respond. I wish other sorors would jump on the bandwagon too and not follow up the ignorance and the nonsense.
