I have to side with REIKI on this one.

I am a senior and unaffiliated and am indeed much more knowledgeable concerning Greeks and those "unofficial rules of etiquette" than I used to be.

When I was a freshman, like most freshmen every year, I did not understand anything about strolling or what the Greeks expected. I have been pushed, shoved, and dang near knocked down by Greeks training or strolling through and I have been totally oblivious as to why educated Black people would push people around at a party. Indeed, there may be people who cut lines on purpose, but from what I have seen, this isn't always the case.

Time after time, it never fails. If I go to a college party, those who know the least are often mistreated because they did not know what was expected of them when the Greeks were strolling. Talking to a person and explaining the situation would help. I still cannot tolerate when I see people pushed around but at least I know now to get out of the way ahead of time.

You cannot expect that the moment you become Greek that all of a sudden people will know how to behave towards you, especially concerning something that may be entirely new to them.
