Well many cosmetics use something called bismuth oxychloride as a filler. You can read more about that
here.
My sorority sister did the research on this and bismuth is basically a relative of arsenic and is used industrially for many things. Essentially, it is
not natural, and while only part of many cosmetics, can still be harmful. Obviously people can argue that it needs to occur in large doses before it causes problems, but for me I say why take the chance.
