I understand what you're saying. I know of at least one house in Florida that uses a maid service. I was shocked when I saw it. We had house duties every week plus a cleaning party before home football games. It was a pain, but it instilled a respect for the house. Paying for cleaning services teaches brothers that there is no consequence for their actions and that throwing money at a problem will fix it.
In today's day and age it is hard to expect brothers to mow the lawn, but cleaning dishes and scrubbing toilets is not too much to ask.
