Just let me tell ya'll 'bout "Rev." ( I was going to say "Rev" but thought no one would know what I was talking about!!!

Rev. married my mom, and my step-dad as well. I think Rev. Smith (I think that's right, the one who left to preach in Dolton???) married my aunt and uncle. My grandmother was livid when I told her I couldn't make it to the service...but I was going to Baltimore the next day....

I am Catholic by choice, but I was brought up in Trinity. I was an usher (back when we wore the white and navy dresses), and I was in Imani for a quick minute...two of my little cousins are now too) Rev is just da bomb!!! His sermons have just touched my heart..when I thought I wouldn't get a job, when I was having frustrations about my biological father...everything, he can really help you understand God's message, and how much the Lord loves us, and cares about us. I'ma stop, cause I'm about to start crying!!

And you are definitely right...Trinity is a large church, but Rev knows EVERYONE....and even with his schedule how it is, he will return every email, letter, phone call, etc. I make it a point to go to church when I get into town, and it's too bad the Monday night service on cable isn't broadcast up here, because I know a lot of folks in this area that need to hear Rev.

Which service do you go to?? I won't be back into Chicago till the Regional Conference, but if you're there that Sunday for the 8 o'clock service, maybe I'll see you there!!
