Beware of culture shock. The shopping is great, but they have murals of their leader painted on the side of damn near every tall building in the city. (I thought it was a LITTLE much....) And DONT go anywhere without a male escort if you are female. It's not safe.

Dubai was one of the very few liberty ports I wish I would have just stayed on the damn ship for. I'm not knocking the culture - it was just too much for me to handle as a 21 year old bratty American.
