Well, I definitely didn't pledge Sigma Kappa for its colors. I think lavender and maroon are hideous together. People during recruitment definitely talk about our house and how we're the Sigma Kattle (about ten years ago I guess we had some really heavy girls). Some of our members are eager to move away from that stereotype. I think we should all embrace it and get some of those sweatpants with MOO across the butt.

When I was going through recruitment, the girl behind me alphabetically was painfully a stereotypical sorority girl. I'm talking the whole nine-yards--big hair, bleached to the max, caked on makeup to point of not being able to see her real face, worrying constantly about her nails, critiquing everyone around her, just a nasty fake person. On the third or fourth day of recruitment when I was really starting to fall in love with Sigma Kappa, I overheard her talking disparagingly about Sigma Kappa and how much she hates it and hates going back, blahity-blah-blah-blah. My thought, "That sounds like confirmation that Sigma Kappa is the place for me." And here I am three years later. Don't know where that girl ended up and it's probably better that way.

Also, ADPi has a really bad rep at our school. They have really low numbers and are fighting to stay open. I have a lot of friends in that house. They are super nice girls and I point every one that I meet in campus who's interested in pledging off-cycle their direction, but if you're an ADPi alum, the WSU chapter could use some help. How about stepping up to bat for them?!
