Thanks for the opportunity to explain

Annie,

I am terribly sorry about your experience with us and that you were unable to get in touch with us to recieve a status update on your lavaliers. (I did give Annie a call a couple of weeks ago to ensure that she had received her lavaliers and she had). We were simply swamped over the month of December and received probably 4 times the number of orders we had projected for this holiday season based on last year's sales. We simply didn't have the staff to cope with business. During that time our toll-free voicemail service went down (it was accepting messages, but we couldn't retrieve them) and our email service mailbox filled up three times, bouncing messages back to senders. We also had faxes to at least three different suppliers turn up missing for Christmas purchases. It was a nightmare to say the least. By no means do I want to come off sounding like I'm offering excuses. There is no way to adequately apolgize for the slow service, I just want you and others to understand the circumstance.

Annie ordered an engraved pendant and some lavaliers for her group. The pendant was shipped within days of her order and the lavaliers ended up having to be special ordered from the manufacturer. Unfortunately it did take a month to get her lavalier shipped to her because her group is not one of the larger NPC sororities which are kept in stock. I called Annie to make sure the lavaliers were eventually received, and they were. And I have refunded 100% of the price paid for the lavaliers to her Visa as our way of apologizing for the delay.

I want everyone out there to know it is very difficult to make it in the greek gift business. Probably many of the stores in your area offer more than just sorority gifts because they can't survive if that's all they sell. We strive to give the highest level of service but since we are human, we do sometimes make mistakes. However, unlike the experience that someone posted about Greek Concepts, we do own up to our mistakes and correct them when the are pointed out. Annie, I hope you understand the situation and accept the free lavaliers with our apologies.

In the meantime we have replaced our toll-free phone number with a new carrier and have taken steps to keep the mailbox from filling up. We are also adding more staff and hope to be able to answer more phone calls live by next Fall.

Thanks for the opportunity to hear our explanation and thanks to all our loyal customers!
