I think I saw this happen while waiting for an old People's Express red eye in the old Newark terminal after directing a football game at West Point.
It was like a third world country. Live poultry. Little stoves with Sterno.
I had a couple of hours to kill and decided to buy a book, but the news stand/gift shop door was blocked by a cop. He told me the place had just been robbed.
Well, at least the last paragraph is true. A robbery INSIDE an airport lobby.
Stranger than fiction.
