Yeah, our MPhiE chapter has been around since the 60s. My chapter was just chartered in 1999 and they blame us for a decline in their membership because they used to have a monopoly on all the women. We're way awesomer anyways, they just need someone to blame.
PS-Our MPhiE chapter is wayyyyy special...(if ya know what I mean). I know some great members, but overall...yeah. There's a rumor going around that last spring the only reason they had their ONE pledge was because they bribed her.
Eh, who knows.
But, you know, I don't know what you're doing now, but SAI has membership for accomplished musicians or people that contribute to the arts. It's a more selective AI program--and the chapters pick the women. Maybe we could still be sisters.....
