I'm not sure which one I think she put first. I'm with you in thinking that she didn't get her first choice, but has never regretted getting her second choice.
(How could you regret it, if you had such a difficult time deciding between the two to begin with? Its like a win-win situation...well, unless you get the 3rd choice of course.)
