You know, it IS the stereotype: male cheerleaders being gay.

Cheerleading is perceived as a primarily women's sport even though it was started by men. Hey, I read cheer magazine lol.

One thing that might peretuate the stereotype is that we are told in no uncertain terms that we can't date our team mates. attitude can really affect a stunt. I remember having a problem with a flyer once, we couldn't even get chairs anymore. Thats a really simple stunt where the girl ends up sitting on your hand over your head.

I have thrown up 90 pound girls that have attitudes that are harder to toss than girls 20 pounds heavier. Ever try to lift a child that really doesn't want to be lifted? ITs similar.

Also, the girls sually hang with the girls and the guys generally hang together also . . . so it would help if there were a lot more organized social events.
