I don't have a car payment anymore, and I pay approx. $76 a month for car insurance for the hubby and myself. That's on liability only in Germany. I'm not complaining!
Most of my friends easily pay $200 a month on comprehensive, but they have newer cars, and I'll venture to say spottier driving records.
