Afraid so my friend. Best way to afford such luxury items in my opinion is to do the following:
Sample Sales (online and offline---usually invite only or knowing someone that knows someone)
Off Fifth (Saks 5th avenue outlet stores)
SmartBargains.com
eluxury.com
eBay (be aware of retail prices though before you bid or you could end up paying a lot more and dont forget to get confirmation from the company that it's genuine and not a knock off)--if the seller wont give it to you they are hiding something.
I believe Nordstrom has an outlet type thing too but the name of it slips my mind presently.
