For years, ChiO members rented a townhouse and called it the 'Chi Omega House', but it was out near 90th and Dodge, nowhere near campus. SigEps had a house for ages, near 30-something and Farnam. What a pit. It actually burned down, lol. Lambda Chi got a house, too. It was quite nice and they really took care of it.
There's been talk, ever since the dorms were first built, about GLO housing on campus, or at the very least, assigned dorm floors. Back in my day, we rushed in portable classrooms, until they built the parking garage. Then rush was moved to the student center. We had our meetings there, too. Each chapter had meetings on Monday night and we all had door hanger thingys to block the windows so noone would 'spy' on you during chapter.
