We had just finished formal recruitment on Monday, when September 11th happened. But, then the most amazing display of sisterhood occured. All of our girls, including the new members just showed up at the house the morning of September 11th. It was amazing to see how everybody just came together.
I was surprised to hear one of the new members say "I just wanted to be here for my sisters." I was floored by that. I mean a girl who had literally received her bid less than 24 hours before September 11th, already felt so close to us. It speaks so highly of the quality of girls who go through recruitment at Long Beach, and of the quality of girls that Sigma Kappa pulled in this fall.
