Very true.
If she liked the one group she had left, she should have stuck with it through prefs. (Even if she had mixed feelings about it, going to pref could have helped her make a decision...even if that decision was to not sign a bid card.)
At a competitive school, I'd imagine its an exceptionally rare situation where dropping out of rush completely would still lead to a bid on Bid Day.
Hopefully things work out for her through COB. (If she's interested in any of the groups who will be participating, of course.)
(Those of you who have seen my retro recruitment thread know that I dropped out of rush and ended up with bid options soon afterwards, BUT...my campus wasn't super competitive and I did not get to participate in Bid Day. Even at my non-competitive campus, it would be exceptionally rare for someone to drop out and still participate in Bid Day.)
