I remember when they killed off that "job interview from hell" show too (I think it was called "My Big Fat Obnoxious Boss")...wikipedia says this:
"This episode reveals the real boss to be a monkey (Mowgli) who would decide the winning contestant by spinning a wheel with the contestants names written on portions of the wheel."
